SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Variety, the Children’s Charity of Iowa, presented two custom-made bikes to two Sioux City kids living with special needs.
Adaptive bikes, like these, are tailored specifically for each child.
Variety wants to give children the chance to join in their community by providing specialized equipment like adaptive bicycles, gait trainers, mobile standers, specialized strollers, and more to families in need.
“This is one of the best things we do at Variety, and it never gets old seeing a child get on a bike and be able to ride it for one of the first times. It’s truly special to be able to ride a bike just like every other kid,” said Director of Development and Communications Alison Hanner.
