LIBERTY TWP., Ohio (WKBN) - Barbara and Stanley Schwartz were married 60 years ago on Friday and although they've lived out of state ever since, they're volunteering at Barbara's alma mater with more than five dozen family members and close friends.

"We're having a blast," Barbara said.

The Schwartzes are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in her hometown.

"I don't know when we were young and 20 years old, whether we thought of the future like this. I don't think I thought that much about it and all of a sudden, here we are. So it's been fun," she said.

The couple has lived in Florida their whole marriage, but Barbara grew up in the area and graduated from Liberty Schools.

"We're visiting, however, I've come home in a lot of ways by doing this trip," she said.
