A lawsuit has been filed seeking damages after an Alabama crash that killed Grammy nominated R&B singer Angie Stone.
According to the Associated Press , the suit was filed in Georgia by crash survivor Sheila Hopkins, and Stone’s two children, Diamond Stone and Michael D’Angelo Archer.
The wreck occurred on March 1 as Stone and her band were returning to Atlanta after performing at a Mardi Gras Ball in Mobile.
The lawsuit says the driver lost control of the Mercedes Benz Sprinter van carrying Stone and the band causing the vehicle to flip over on the highway.
After the initial accident Stone and others were alive but needed assistance to exit the vehicle from drivers who pulled over.
