Saturday marks the return of the Mizzou-Kansas Border Showdown to Faurot Field for the first time in almost two decades. The last game played between these two teams in Columbia was in November of 2006. Five years later, in 2011, was the last time Mizzou and Kansas played each other in football.
Occupancy across several hotels in Columbia has not yet been filled, with prices ranging anywhere between $189 to $584 per night. Lagina Fitzpatrick, director of sales for Wyndam Executive Center Columbia, said that this weekend is busier than a normal football weekend. Mid-Missouri News
