PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- Paducah Police took swift action after they said there were threats made towards the Paducah Tilghman High School football game.
Detectives identified Shaundell White as the suspect. She is accused of making violent threats on social media.
White, 18, was arrested and was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
"We take threats like this very seriously," Chief Brian Laid said. "These actions will not be tolerated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Parents, students, and fans should know we will have an increased presence tonight. We are working closely with Paducah Public Schools to ensure tonight’s football game is a positive experience for those who attend."
Police are increasing security measures at the game to ensure safety.
