MOUNT PLEASANT — Alex Skatell and his family were asleep the morning of Sept. 5. When he woke at 6 a.m., he was shocked to see what his home security cameras captured in the night.
Someone had cased his house. And they’d come inside.
His home, tucked away in a quiet subdivision among the salt marshes in the Harbour Watch neighborhood, has multiple security cameras. When he awoke, his phone alerted him to the footage the system had captured nearly three hours earlier.
