DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Racing through obstacles for a good cause — helping raise awareness of veteran suicide.

The fifth annual Operation Obstacle is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Richland Community College in Decatur.

According to Richland's website , check-in and same-day registration will run from 8:30-9:30 a.m., with the welcome ceremony taking place at 10 a.m., and the race beginning at 10:15 a.m.

Registration is available online , and the cutoff will be 9:30 a.m. on race day.

Richland said this year, a non-competitive fun run will be offered to participants who prefer to jog or walk, or prefer to skip some or all of the obstacles entirely.

T-shirts will be available for purchase for an additional $20 during registration, with the cutoff on Sept. 14.
