A small business owner in the Chicago suburbs is trying to help authorities find the person who attacked a runner on a trail.
She's offering a rather out-of-the-box reward. It's not cash but food.
As owner of Not Another Pizza Joint in Channahon, Jen Parshall serves up signature pies and other good eats. She has added another focus to her plate.
Parshall is using her business to try and solve a crime.
“A few days ago, my friend posted on Facebook that one of their friends had been assaulted on the trail,” she said. “It was on the I & M Canal Trail, which is very popular. He is a retiree who was running with women runners to keep them company, and he had been assaulted by someone on a motorbike. His head was hit against a tree and beat with a stick or some object, and he has six staples
