Summer has well and truly bid us farewell here in Scotland, but that doesn't mean we have to succumb to a sense of gloom for the coming months — even though the prospect of a long, dark winter can be somewhat intimidating. Each year, I try to welcome the cosy season with open arms, but this time around, I'm determined to make it a lasting habit.
This includes actually going out and discovering more of the lovely spots our nation boasts, without being deterred by the dreary weather. There's one particular location I've been visiting since my childhood that is immensely popular in summer, yet not as much during the winter.
