LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Hundreds of Kentuckians gathered at the Capitol in Frankfort on Friday to declare September as Recovery Month in the commonwealth, coinciding with National Recovery Month.
Recovery advocates and health care professionals are celebrating the progress Kentucky has made in expanding addiction recovery resources.
“The Freedom Center, out of Maryland now ranks Kentucky the seventh best state in the nation for drug rehabilitation,” Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, D-Ky., said. “We are all in this fight together. It doesn’t matter where you are in your journey to recovery, know we are always here rooting for you and ready to offer help.”
