ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — A 44-year-old Elizabeth City man is facing a dozen drug charges after a multi-agency investigation led to his arrest on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office, with help from the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and Homeland Security Investigations, arrested Brian Christopher Paxton following the execution of three search warrants.

Deputies searched two homes — one on Old Oak Road and another on Northside Road — as well as Paxton’s vehicle. Authorities said they seized trafficking-level amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and crack cocaine, along with $1,225 in cash and evidence of drug sales.
