A police officer in Lynn, Massachusetts, is on administrative leave, his department said Friday, as it conducts an investigation.

Lynn police also acknowledged a video on social media depicting the officer becoming incapacitated while working. The department said, amid the ongoing investigation, the officer appeared to have "experienced a medical related episode."

Police didn't share the officer's name, when the incident took place or information on the video that prompted Friday's statement. They said their review involved body camera footage and discussions with medical professionals.
