BROWNSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - It’s Fair Friday in Edmonson County.

During this annual tradition, all Edmonson County students from kindergarten to 12th grade get the day off from school to enjoy the fair festivities.

“My favorite thing about the fair is being able to go to the parade before and then like the whole weekend,” said Edmonson County High School student Elizabeth Talley.

This year, with the help of donations, the Lions Club was able to raise enough money so all students were able to get into the fair for free and get a free meal.

“We just started advertising to get sponsors to help, maybe pay for some of the cost. It started, maybe with some parents who offered to make a donation to help pay for 20 tickets, I believe it was what it was. And then it just started exploding on Face
