BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kern County is home to a large Latino population and a rich culture, that is on display at the Eastchester Arts and Culture District for this year’s 12th installment of Latination.

“We are really excited because it’s been about a five, six-year break to get this back going again, said event founder and curator, Don Martin. "We’ve had over 100 submission entries this year from local artists, some from Los Angeles, the Bay area."

The event has filled the Arts Council building with colorful displays of paper mache skulls, detailed works of art and strings of papel picado. Folklorico dancers and live musical performances will also be on display.
