NICEVILLE, Fla. (WKRG) — The latest addition to Northwest Florida State College is complete, and a celebration was held for it on Thursday.
The college held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting for the School of Nursing building, as well as welcomed new faculty members on Sept. 4.
“This expansion is more than bricks and mortar—it’s a bold investment in the future of healthcare in our region,” said NWFSC President Mel Ponder. “With over $34 million dedicated to growing our nursing program, we’re doubling enrollment and equipping students with the most advanced technology available.”
The new nursing building is 64,000 square feet and features virtual reality labs, along with high-fidelity simulation suites, according to a college news release.
