Brantford Bulldogs general manager Spencer Hyman was excited to see his team back at the civic centre on Friday night but he was also excited about something else entirely.
“I went to the lounge, got to shake some people’s hands, familiar faces that I haven’t seen in so long,” Hyman said prior to Brantford’s 7-2 win against the Niagara IceDogs in OHL pre-season action.
“It kind of feels like a family is getting back together and that’s what Brantford is and why this place is so special. It’s about the people and the community.
“As I’ve always said, our home games aren’t just hockey games, they’re community events.”
The Bulldogs are about to finish their second week of the pre-season and prior to Friday’s game, they were 3-1. While fans will be happy with that record, Hyman has been ple
