Nipissing District communities are receiving more than $4.82 million in federal funding for critical infrastructure, housing growth and enhancing quality of life for residents.

The funding, which is coming through the Canada Community-Building Fund, was delivered Friday by Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Pauline Rochefort.

This funding is part of the $748 million delivered to Ontario municipalities in 2025 through the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.

“The Canada Community-Building Fund provides communities with the flexibility to direct investments where they are needed most — whether that means upgrading water and wastewater systems, maintaining local roads and bridges, or creating new recreational facilities,” according to a media release issued by Rochefort.
