Fake AI content: Reno judge hands down creative decision to attorneys

Washoe County District Court Judge David Hardy chose a “creative and unpredictable” outcome Friday when deciding how to deal with two attorneys who submitted AI-generated fictitious citations.

“This is larger than any of us,” he said. “I care more about what occurs systemically after today. Courts across the country are wrestling with this very issue.”
