A defensive struggle in the first half turned into an offensive blowout in the second, with McQueen and Reed trading scores seemingly every possession.

When the dust cleared, Reed walked away with a 43-28 win over the Lancers in high school football on Friday night at Reed.

The Raiders led, 14-6 at halftime and 16-6 after three quarters.

But from the defenses were worn down and both offenses took advantage.

"It opened up there in the second half. Probably a little bit of fatigueon both sides," Reed coach Garrett Hughes said. "That first half was kind of a slugfest and it took a bit of a toll on both of us."
