SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Brave-hearted adventurers were able to test their fears as they rappelled down the side of a building for a good cause.

The Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County hosted its annual ‘Over the Edge’ event in downtown South Bend on Friday night.

Participants who rappelled down the Robertson building raised funds and awareness for kids experiencing homelessness, abuse, or any crisis.

“This is great because we get to see the community celebrate the potential that our young people have and really working hard to raise funds and continue to make sure we can provide services for them,” said CEO Christina McGovern for the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County.

The goal of the evening was to raise $100,000 for the youth service bureau’s lifesaving programs.
