INDIANAPOLIS — In a battle between two of the top-ranked teams in Class 4A , Bishop Chatard reigned supreme on Friday night, taking down rival Roncalli 33-11 for the Trojans' fourth straight victory over the Royals.
Roncalli got on the board first late in the first quarter thanks to a 23-yard field goal by senior kicker Gavin Louthain. Chatard then responded with a field goal of their own early in the second quarter to tie the game at 3.
However, the game began to lean in Chatard's favor after forcing a Roncalli safety to give them a 5-3 lead not long after their game-tying field goal. After getting the ball back, Chatard senior quarterback Jack Harrington used his legs to find the end zone and put the Trojans up 12-3 after the PAT.
