SHADY SPRING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The James Monroe Mavericks (AA) continued their strong start to the season with a convincing 26-7 victory over the Shady Spring Tigers (AAA) on the road Friday night.

The Mavericks dominated the game from start to finish. James Monroe’s offense was efficient and aggressive, while their defense limited the Tigers to just one touchdown.

With the win, James Monroe improves to 2-0 on the season and will look to maintain their momentum when they host the Bluefield Beavers next Friday.

Meanwhile, Shady Spring, now 0-2, will return home to face the Nicholas County Grizzlies in a must-win matchup next week.
