ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - DeKalb County police are investigating a shooting that left more than a dozen bullet holes in a building.

Police had the Beauty Exposed Hair and Makeup Salon on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain taped off Friday afternoon.

The shooting left over a dozen bullets in the windows and police marked more than 40 shell casings that were scattered on the ground.

Hardy D. Tate was staying at a nearby motel when he heard gunshots go off.

“I heard 20, 30 shots in the room. My girl’s room is right there, and I walked out the doors, and the next thing I know is 20, 30 cops up and down the road,” Tate said.

We have reached out to DeKalb County police to learn what led to the shooting.
