WARREN Students and administrators of Warren City Schools kicked off the "Attend Today, Succeed Tomorrow" campaign on Friday with a tailgate party.

The event, which featured bounce houses, DJs, a photobooth, food and more, saw about 500 students and their families before the Warren Harding football game.

According to a news release, the "Attend Today, Succeed Tomorrow" campaign slogan is part of the Attendance H.E.R.O program.

Every student who meets the district-wide monthly, quarterly or year-long standards for excellent attendance is designated an Attendance H.E.R.O., which stands for "Here, Everyday, Ready and On Time."

Students can earn the designation by missing no more than one day and by having no more than one tardy in a month, according to the release.
