A Cumberland County man’s attorney said his client took too many THC-laced gummy bears before attempting to kidnap four women and a girl and assaulting a man in East Donegal Township last year.
Jared Sweigard, 43, of Enola, will spend up to five years in prison after pleading no contest Wednesday to eight charges, including two counts of attempted kidnapping. Lancaster County Judge David Ashworth sentenced Sweigard to two to five years in state prison with five years of probation.

Police said Sweigard went to the Sheetz gas station parking lot
