TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A controversy has emerged outside Armory Park in Tucson following its recent closure . Community Care Tucson, a local group, found itself at the center of the debate this week after continuing its weekly tradition of distributing food and supplies to those in need.

The group moved its distribution to the sidewalk outside the park on Wednesday night. However, they were met by officials from the city and the Tucson Police Department, who informed them that a permit would be necessary for future events.
