Brighton 30, Thomas 14

Justin Medina took the opening kickoff 90 yards to the end zone to set the tone for a Brighton Week 1 victory.

Brighton was up 7-0 just 12 seconds into the game thanks to Medina's return, but Thomas had an answer on the ensuing drive.

Michael Wells found the end zone on the ground for the Titans to tie it up 7-7.

Brighton's offense came out for its first play of the game on the next drive and quickly found the end zone again. Ethan Bialaszewski heaved up a deep ball to Patrick Rohr for the touchdown to give Brighton a 14-7 lead.

Matthew Heininger started the scoring in the second quarter for the Bruins with a short reception for a touchdown and a 21-7 lead.

Both teams found the back of the end zone one more time before the half, making the score 27-14.
