NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk International Airport will hold a full-scale emergency exercise from 8:30 a.m. until noon Saturday.

The airport said the exercise is an FAA-required drill for preparedness and response capabilities.

During the exercise, people may notice increased activity, including emergency vehicles, first responders and airport personnel, as well as hear simulated radio communication.

The airport said the goal is to evaluate communication, coordination and the overall effectiveness of participating organizations.
