Construction on Peninsula Drive in Millcreek will include nighttime work beginning Sept. 7.

Crews will mill and pave the road from West 12th Street to the entrance to the Tom Ridge Environmental Center between 6 p.m. and 4 a.m. The work is expected to be finished in three weeks.

Other crews will continue to work days paving and improving drainage near the entrance to Presque Isle State Park.

Lanes will be closed as needed during daytime and nighttime work hours.

The $6.4 million Peninsula Drive improvement project also will include new or re-timed traffic signals along the corridor.

Construction began in late June and is expected to continue through September.
