PHILADELPHIA − There's no way around the fact that Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter was by far the biggest loser in the team's 24-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 4.

There's no way the Eagles' best defensive player, who's relied on to play about 90% of the snaps, can get thrown out of the game for spitting on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

Carter admitted as much after the game, saying, "It was a mistake that happened on my side. It just won’t happen again. I promise." Buy Philadelphia Eagles tickets

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni wouldn't disclose if the team will fine or bench Carter for his actions. The NFL could certainly punish Carter, either with a fine or suspension, or both.

But Sirianni was clearly disappointed at Carter's lack of discipline, as he should be
