2025 NH State Salaries
Thanks to a chronic workforce shortage and growing demands within the state prison system, seven correction officers and their superiors received more take-home pay than the state’s highest-paid salaried employee, according to employee compensation reports from the Department of Administrative Services.
For many years, the state’s chief medical examiner has earned the highest salary, with incumbent Dr. Jennie Duval earning $265,000 a year; her deputy, Dr. Mitchell Weinberg, is second-highest with $250,000 annually.
