MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A jackknifed 18-wheeler slowed down traffic on I-55 in Memphis on Thursday morning, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).
TDOT said the crash happened around 9 a.m. on north I-55 just east of South Third Street.
TDOT cameras showed the 18-wheeler crashed into a guardrail on the interstate, causing traffic to be reduced to one lane. Traffic appeared to be backed up on I-55 all the way to the I-240 interchange.
Police said the trailer struck a guardrail, adding that no injuries were reported.
