FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) - A 19-year-old motorcyclist was arrested following a pursuit that reached speeds of over 100 mph through the streets of Fond du Lac around midnight.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, a deputy spotted a speeding motorcycle just after midnight on Saturday. The driver was eastbound on East Johnson Street near North Park Avenue in Fond du Lac.

After the deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop, the 19-year-old man allegedly sped away at nearly 85 mph.

The pursuit then reached speeds of over 100 mph when the motorcycle continued east on STH 23, leaving Fond du Lac.

After a second deputy joined the pursuit, the man pulled over near Whispering Springs Boulevard and was taken into custody.
