BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football safety Byron Baldwin Jr. and starting punter Mitch McCarthy won't play against Kennesaw State, per the team's availability report.

Coach Curt Cignetti described Baldwin as "day-to-day" earlier in the week, but declined to discuss the specifics of the injury that forced the true freshman to miss the season opener.
