The Sarnia Sting are still looking for their first Ontario Hockey League pre-season win after losing to the North Bay Battalion 7-2 Friday in Midland.

The Battalion scored the game’s final five goals, dropping the Sting’s exhibition record to 0-2-0-1.

Cameron Aucoin and Beckham Edwards scored for the Sting in front of a sellout crowd of 750 at the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre.

The Sting will host the Barrie Colts in the same venue Saturday at 7:05 p.m.

Sting goalie Patrick Quinlan stopped 22 of 28 shots in his first pre-season start.

Aucoin opened the scoring with his first goal at 3:19 of the first period.
