Wheaton made a furious comeback but fell short 37-29 against No. 2-ranked Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio, on Saturday. Quarterback Mark Forcucci ran for a 21-yard score, then hit fellow Wheaton North grad Seth Kortenhoeven for touchdown passes of 19 and 15 yards in the fourth quarter. The Thunder recovered one onside kick in the fourth, then kicked away after scoring with 2:40 left, but Mount Union ran out the clock.

Roosevelt 23, Quincy 21:

Roosevelt got a 36-yard field goal from Mauricio Escudero with 4:25 left to earn a 23-21 victory over Quincy in a Division II game in Arlington Heights. Quincy took a 21-20 lead on a blocked field-goal return for a touchdown, then missed 35-yard field-goal attempt with 1:12 remaining.
