Anyone who pays for their broadband in the UK could save as much as £130 on their bills by doing a simple switch. A recent survey conducted by Broadband Genie of nearly 4,000 Brits unveiled that switching to local broadband providers could mean getting double the internet speed for almost a third of the cost.
The study revealed that customers of alternative network (altnet) providers enjoy average speeds of 440Mb at just £28 per month. This is compared to 227Mb at £39 per month with the major nationwide providers - meaning consumers are saving over £130 on average when switching to these local providers.
