Former Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has been slammed by one of his country's legends for failing to find a new club before the first international break of the season.
Eriksen was signed on a free after an impressive return to football with Brentford. However, the option to extend his contract after the end of last season was not taken up and the former Tottenham Hotspur man was released.
While Victor Lindelof , who was released at the same time as Eriksen, has now signed for Aston Villa , the Dane remains without a club. As he is a free agent, the decision was made not to call him up to the Danish squad for this month's World Cup qualifiers.
