Malky Mackay has taken fans inside Hibs ' Deadline Day efforts and explained why the club focused on the Swiss market during this window. ‌

The Hibees broke their transfer record to land striker Thibault Klidje from Luzern, as well as shelling a reported £600,000 for midfielder Miguel Chaiwa. ‌

The latter has slotted into David Gray 's squad quickly, although Klidje has required a more gradual introduction period. ‌

Now Mackay has explained why Swiss stars ticked the boxes Hibs were looking to tick this summer.

"We looked into the Swiss market as well, as we sought a blend and mix of experience, youth, players who understand Scottish football and the UK market, and also going into Europe to try to find some players that can really add to the group," he said.
