Leeds Bradford Airport might just be getting its first intercontinental flights with a new route to Pakistan. The route would cater to the local diaspora both in Leeds and the surrounding area. Perhaps the more surprising thing is that this flight will most probably be operated with an Airbus A321 with a refueling stop along the way.

First flagged by UK Airline Schedule Analyst Sean M, Airblue has hinted at flights between Leeds and its Islamabad International Airport hub. It published a job offer for an ‘Assistant Manager - Terminal Customer Services’ at Leeds/Bradford Airport. While this does not confirm whether the flights will begin, it strongly hints at the possibility.
