A man in Memphis , Tennessee, is accused of beating up his own dad because the elder man told a friend of the younger's he was indeed his father.

Miguel Gomez Jr., 32, has been charged with aggravated assault by strangulation and domestic assault, an arrest affidavit shows. The incident occurred on August 10.

Miguel Gomez Sr. was at his home with his son on the 2800 block of Randy Cove in Memphis, Tennessee, when Miguel Gomez Jr. "asked him if he had told one of his friends that he was his dad," the affidavit states. "Gomez Sr. replied, telling him that he did, which angered Miguel Gomez. Jr."
