Hamilton Accies boss John Rankin admits his players got 'spooked' by 10-man East Kilbride's second half rally in today's KDM Evolution Trophy and made it harder than it had to be in their 4-2 win. ‌

The League One side were 2-0 up at the break after Oli Shaw and Kevin O'Hara struck in the final five minutes of the first half, having watched Rhys Breen see red on the half hour mark for denying a clear goal scoring opportunity. ‌

However, Kilby went for it and put two men up top for the second half when he introduced Cami Elliott and John Robertson and that almost inspired an incredible comeback. ‌

Robertson netted a penalty in 50 minutes to pull one back, before O'Hara restored the two-goal advantage with a curling effort.
