PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Makita is recalling more than 62,000 cordless grease guns and hoses after multiple users reported being cut while using the product, according to a recall posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The recall explains the Makita-brand professional cordless grease gun's flexible hose can develop holes over time. The holes can cause grease to expel from the hose while the gun is in use, creating a risk for deep cuts and/or skin slashes.

Makita has received five reports of the grease gun hose failing, with each resulting in laceration injuries. None of the incidents happened in the United States, according to the CPSC.
