CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Eight hundred runners showed up to Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation's North Battlefield Blvd. campus Saturday morning for its annual Bra-ha-ha 5k Run/Walk.
The Run/Walk is in support of breast cancer awareness, in which all proceeds for the race will go towards screening mammograms and breast health services for uninsured and underinsured community members in Hampton Roads.
In addition, the money will be used for advanced technology at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare.
The event recognized three winners, one in each of the three categories: • Men’s category – Aaron Meyers of Virginia Beach (17min., 13 sec.) • Women’s category – Octavia Rinehardt of Virginia Beach (21min., 17 sec.) • 12 & under – Edison Harkins
