NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- A ground stop has been issued at all three major tri-state area airports, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Flights were grounded at Newark Liberty International Airport, John F. Kennedy Airport, and LaGuardia Airport until at least 4 p.m., the FAA's website said.
