KEMAH, Texas — The Kemah Police Department is getting a little bigger -- make that A LOT bigger!

Jordan Wilmore is a cadet who's head and shoulders above the rest. He wants to make a big difference in the small police department.

"In my 34 years, I've never seen someone as big as Jordan," Chief Raymond Garivey said.

That's because Wilmore stands 7 feet, 3 inches tall. He doesn't just walk into a room ... he towers over it.

"I have people that, like, kind of give me that look," Wilmore said. "They're, like, oh, hey, how tall are you?"

Before signing up for the academy, he was working security in Kemah and was constantly being noticed.

"When they told me about him, I knew that I had to meet him," Garivey said.

The chief even went to meet him before the social media buzz.
