KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A teen is in critical but stable condition after a shooting in Kalamazoo on Friday night.
Around 9:10 p.m., Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) officers patrolling near Mabel Street heard multiple gunshots.
Minutes later, police said they were notified of a gunshot victim in the 600 block of Mabel Street.
When police got to the scene, they found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound.
The teen was taken to a local hospital, where KDPS said he's listed as being in critical but stable condition.
Police said at this time, suspect information is limited.
KDPS is urging community members to come forward with any information that could help investigators.
