DALLAS — Blue Bell fans in North Texas can try the Texas-based creamery's newest flavor for free.

Earlier this week, the Brenham-based ice cream maker announced the new Classic Pecan Pie flavor , and for a limited time, some DFW customers can get the new flavor completely free.

Wing, a California-based drone delivery company, is running the promotion. According to a company spokesperson, from Sept. 4 through Oct. 5, eligible customers can place an order for a pint of the Classic Pecan Pie ice cream and have it delivered to their homes by drone, with no delivery fees, tips or minimum purchase requirements.

The spokesperson said the delivery is available from 14 Walmart locations in North Texas, and the drones can deliver the ice cream in as fast as 30 minutes from the moment the order
