ATLANTA — Families in the Peach State can now apply for funding to pay for private education expenses.

Applications for the Georgia Promise Scholarship are open from Sept. 1 to Sept. 30. This education choice program provides eligible students with the opportunity to use public funds for non-public education expenses in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. Eligible uses include private school tuition, tutoring services, and other qualified education expenses.

Eligibility for the scholarship:

The student must reside in an attendance zone of a school on the list of eligible school attendance zones

The student must have been enrolled in a Georgia public school for the Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 semesters or entering kindergarten.

Parent must reside in Georgia for at least 1 year.
