An updated report from the National Weather Service was issued on Saturday at 4:27 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 5 p.m. for Eastern Curry County and Josephine County and Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades as well as Jackson County.
The storms are packing nickel-sized hail (0.88 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
"At 4:27 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near McKee Bridge Recreation Site, or 15 miles southwest of Medford, moving northwest at 10 mph," according to the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible."
